Non-Aromatics

Having recently picked up the pipe & some aromatics I am realizing 2 things:

1) I have to smoke outside.

2) I really have no decent sense of smell (never have)
So, this would lead me to believe that the non-aromatics might be good to try out.

Can anyone suggest an non-aromatic w/ a flavor that would knock my socks off- without any tongue bite?

Rattray's Red Rapparee or Robert McConnell: Oriental are two very good oriental blends that have little-to-no tongue bite. If you want something with a heavier latakia, try 3 Oaks Syrian, which also has zero bite to it.

I'm guessing if you like aro's you like the "sweet taste"?
In which case I would reccommend Peterson's Irish Flake as a flavourful alternertive to aro's.
(Also, take it easy or it'll knock you on your ass).

Beware of the nic level in Irish Flake. Smoke it after a good meal,and preferably sitting down. Make sure you know

how to prepare flakes, too.

Trying to find out "what's a good non-aromatic" is such a broad question. It's so broad I can't even begin to answer without writing a book.

May I humbly suggest you peruse this forum and a good review site, and then come back with a narrower question?

Escudo and Louisiana Red are both good VaPers. McBaren HH Mature VA and McClelland's Black Shag are both good VAs. Everyone already knows what my favorite Lat blend is.
