^^^ haha ... good enough for me. Will check it out
@beefeater33 ...
Methinks there will be some really pungent "tobacco" smells wafting around at Lockn.............. :wink: :mrgreen:
It is gauranteed sir. I love all them smells so I’ll be happy!
I received my Dagner Poker MM cob, and had my first round of 6mo aged Mac Baren Navy Flake. I forgot how enjoyable a burley dominant blend is. The fresh tin smell was sickening sweet (I know I’m using the word sickening here, but it’s not intended to be a negative). Interestingly, when smoked I’m tasting a strong, nutty, quality burley mostly. A touch of honey in there; no rum note
It dawned on me that my current 5x blend rotation doesn’t have any dominant burley, so the taste profile felt “off” for the first 1/3 of the bowl. Then that nuttiness, like almond / walnut skins, set in and I was in heaven. My tongue had a bit of PH issues (kept thinking I was borderline getting bit) since my tobacco diet has been lacking burley, but I’m experienced enough to know adding some burely to my rotation diet will overcome that in no time. Retrohaling is divine with this blend!
Can’t believe I had skipped this blend. I have another 6mo aged tin of MB NF I plan on letting getting a few years on it to compare.
