It sounds like you are having a reaction to the red virginia's. I also have a body chemistry that cannot handle most red's. If the smoke is burning your tongue like acid right from the get go it is most likely the reds. You had better be careful of a lot of blends if this is the case.

It won't help if he has a reaction to the chemicals. I have the same problem as posted above, and by cigrmaster. Eight out of nine Petersons that I own have P-lips, and it doesn't make a difference in that case.

Wow, thank you all very much for the input. It sounds like it's got to be the red virginias, the liquor topping or a combination of the two. I thoroughly enjoy a good burley (Solani 656 for example) and I doubt it's the perique since I'm a huge fan of Escudo Navy Deluxe.
The offer still stands for anyone that would like to do a little exchange. I will put up a post on the buy/sell/trade forum for said 2 oz cans momentarily.
