No Labels under the tin?

I bought some aged tobacco online recently. But what confused me is that there is no labels under the tin as usual. Is this normal for aged tobacco?
How can I check the date and origin of the tins ?

I don’t remember seeing many dates on tins? C and D puts a paper tag, but that could easily be faked. I just write the year with a sharpie on mine.

i just trust the source if its good, did you ask or read? Your tins are certainly before a certain date as they are an older design. Probably at least 10 years old…

I have seen people arguing a toilet paper is a counterfeit. Those looks legit.

Many companies do not date tins . There are generalized clues like shape of tin, presence of bar codes, style of print, city of manufacture, distributed by or made by different companies in different eras. Sometimes it is just a guess. Many forum member know more than I do

Thanks, that makes sense. The seller said these tins are at least ten years old.

It's easy to pull labels off.

Not all tattray tins will have bottom label. There is a major change between each vendor, decade, and country. Packaged in Europe or USA has major differences.
