Newb here. Swinging in to say hello to all. Just out of curiosity does anyone know if there is a post referencing the disassembly of the 2 piece Nimrod lighters? I searched and didnt find anything but since I'm new I could have missed it. If no one has written up how to disassemble would there be a reason they havent?

Good question! I have a couple, but never took them apart. Long ago I was fascinated by the design, knowing they had to be put together, they had to come apart. I believe I noticed a flush pin and that answered my question but I never did take one apart. My guess is they assembled them, put in the pin after assembly and they don't come apart. Really, I never had a reason to take one apart.

I just finished disassembling and cleaning up two. It's not that hard. I made a video and posted it on YouTube. Then I thought there may be a reason I wasn't able to find a walk through on the internet and thought it best to ask. If folks are interested I'll put the video back up and link it here. It makes cleaning and buffing much easier. Also you can get to the flint wheel if replacement is needed.
