Pipes are cheaper than tobacco down under. So like, by giving into PAD rather than smoking a bowl, I’m saving money!

These days, when PAD strikes, I go to the shelf holding the two boxes full of pipes that I've not smoked, the "strategic reserve" and thumb through them.

Everything from cobs to Dunhills hiding in there.

If I still feel compelled to buy, I give it a second look, but it is getting less and less frequent.

I did recently buy a grudge pipe or two, after losing a small box of favorites during an interstate move.

I must admit, though, that my PAD rarely exceeds my means. TAD, on the other hand.....
