In addition to smoking a pipe, I’m also a fan of nasal snuff. I often take snuff immediately after I finish smoking a pipe. Occasionally before a pipe too.

Surely I’m not the only one here who does something like this, right? What other forms of tobacco do you like to “double down “ with?

I also vape but less than before I got back into pipes. I also tried nasal snuff but really get little nicotine hit, maybe doing something wrong. I just lightly sniff.

With nasal snuff, nicotine content can vary quite a bit from snuff to snuff. Also, don’t be afraid to take a larger dose. You can get quite a nic hit from the right stuff.

Vape has been my 24/7 cigarette replacement for a long while now, but that’s not the point.
Point is, I know a pipe tobak is not for me when I’m wanting to hit my vape during my smoke.
I’d probably like nasal snuff, but I don’t like “fiddling” around most of the time. SNUS and even nicotine gum are handy when inhalation methods are verboten, but are relegated to such use when flying, meetings, etc.

hardest two things with nasal snuff for the new snuffer is realizing that what seems like a large pinch isn't really a large pinch and that also a larger pinch is less likely to get into the sinuses. Yeah snuff can give you an intense nicotine buzz. Also it hits weird. Which can confuse ones appreciation. Basically to get a little gross and accurate when you take a pinch of snuff your nasal cavity basically starts making a tea out of the snuff and once it's steeped into your own nasal wetness the nicotine goes pretty directly to the brain. That can take a few minutes. So it's better to take a pinch right before you feel like you need a pinch.
I need to find that clip of Brad Pitt where if you pay attention you catch him taking a pinch of snuff, the look on his face tells how you should feel if you did it right.

Pipes, Dip and cigars for me.
I used to smoke RYO while drinking, but I quit alcohol about a decade ago.
Not due to any "problems", I just quit drinking alcohol.
I was a SERIOUS binge drinker. I drank only a few times a year, but I drank a LOT on those days......a LOT. :)

Mostly cigarettes and dip these days. I haven't smoked a pipe in a few weeks now.

Being a pack a day cigarette smoker I typically have a cigarette before and shortly after smoking a pipe, since most pipe blends just don't contain enough nicotine to scratch the itch. There are a handful of blends I don't feel the need to have a cigarette before or after though, and those are the ones I gravitate towards most of the time.

Gawith's Kendal Dark and Five Brothers are my favorite high octane cigarette replacement blends, though I also find Gawith's Dark Flake, Dark Plug, 1792 Flake, Coniston Cut Plug, and Peterson Irish Flake to be very satisfying. I've heard Rattray's Stirling Flake is as well, though I've yet to try it, and the dearly departed War Horse Bar and Mac Baren HH Bold Kentucky were both great in that regard too. puffy
