A tour bus traveling from Niagara Falls to New York City rolled over in Genesee County, New York, on Friday, killing multiple people and injuring at least two dozen others.

The crash, which involved a tractor-trailer and a tour bus carrying 54 people, happened around 12:30 p.m. near mile marker 4039 on the eastbound side of Interstate 90 in Pembroke, according to New York State Police.

Tpr. James O'Callaghan told Fox News Digital at least five people are dead, and several people are unaccounted for. Some passengers were ejected from the bus and others were trapped underneath it.

State police said mechanical error and impairment and intoxication of the driver have been ruled out. Charges are not being filed against the driver, who told police he was distracted and over-corrected

What!!!

The driver of a huge diesel pusher Niagara Falls tour bus with 54 souls on board can roll a perfectly good tour bus full of 54 souls and say I’m sorry, I was distracted, and he gets off Scot free?

And if it was a kid who had two beers or was texting on his phone he’d be sent to prison?

I predict some friendly lawyers are going to be helping those victims find justice, I surely do.

Why is this case is being handled like a fender bender in a parking lot?

More news, as seasoned reporters actually interview survivors—-

What You Need To Know

  • A tour bus owned by M&Y Tour Inc. was traveling from Niagara Falls to New York City Friday afternoon with 54 passengers on board
  • Officials say the driver lost control of the bus and caused the vehicle to roll over, leaving dozens injured and five people dead
  • State Police say passengers range in ages from 1 to 74 and were traveling from a number of places around the world including China, India, Phillipines, the Middle East and some were American
  • The Chinese Consulate in New York confirmed on state TV that at least six Chinese citizens were injured in the crash

——-

  • ROCHESTER, N.Y. — What was supposed to be an experience of a lifetime with friends and family turned deadly Friday, when a tour bus heading to New York City after a trip to the American side of Niagara Falls lost control and crashed.

Five people were killed, and the victims were identified by authorities as Shankar Kumar Jha, 65, of Madhu Bani, India; Pinki Changrani, 60, of East Brunswick, New Jersey; Xie Hongzhuo, 22, of Beijing, China; Zhang Xiaolan, 55; and Jian Mingli, 56, both from Jersey City, New Jersey. Dozens more were injured.

These sort of things cost the American economy billions of dollars in lost tourism —-

Last month, a study from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) that analyzed the economic impact of tourism in 184 countries revealed the U.S. was the only country forecast to see international visitor spending decline in 2025.

The WTTC projects the U.S. to be on track to lose $12.5 billion in international visitor spending this year compared to last year, according to the research.
It could be argued, however, that the actual losses will be significantly larger, given that Tourism Economics, a division of Oxford Economics, had originally forecasted the U.S. would see a 9% jump in international inbound travel in 2025.

——

No government can guarantee the safety of foreign visitors but they can and should mete out severe justice on reckless tour bus drivers, and the companies that hire them.

Or else folks won’t come from all around the world to visit the scenic Missouri Ozarks, and other tourist traps, you know?

You’d have to have been raised in a state institution and adopted by Nurse Rachet, to not have compassion for fifty four souls on a doomed top of the line million dollar forty ton luxury liner headed from Niagara Falls to the lights of Times Square, massacred by an incompetent, reckless and damned fool diesel jockey.

Will standards change and heads roll over this disaster?

They should.

New York has busses, limousines, tractor trailers, cube vans, bus drivers, limousine drivers , tractor trailer drivers, cube van drivers that have no business being on public highways.
I don’t know a lot about the politics involved (it’s New York, so it’s political, and someone is getting a cut), but I see 10 dump trucks, driven locally by local old boys, pulled over and ticketed every day, while seeing shitbox cube vans and tractor trailers with Chinese writing on them, that shouldn’t be on the road, passing me doing 85 on the interstate.
I hate to break the news, but something is rotten in Denmark.

Recent corruption charges in New York City include federal bribery and campaign finance offenses against Mayor Eric Adams's associates, such as his closest advisor, following a July 2024 investigation into campaign contributions. These charges are part of a larger series of corruption investigations surrounding Adams's administration and include accusations of a pay-to-play scheme involving contractors and bribes for building work in the NYCHA (New York City Housing Authority) system.

Recent Charges
  • Ingrid Lewis-Martin, Mayor Adams's Top Advisor: Was indicted in August 2025 on bribery and corruption charges.

  • Eric Adams, Mayor: Was initially charged with bribery and campaign finance offenses in September 2024, though the federal case was later dismissed.

  • Former NYCHA Employees: Over 70 former employees were charged with bribery and extortion offenses in February 2024 in connection with a scheme to take money from contractors for work on city buildings.
Key Allegations
  • Bribery and Campaign Finance:
Investigations into Adams and his allies focused on whether they accepted bribes or illicit campaign contributions in exchange for favors.

  • NYCHA Scheme:
A large number of NYCHA employees were accused of orchestrating a scheme to demand over $2 million in bribes from contractors for work on city buildings.

  • Pay-to-Play:
Prosecutors claim the alleged schemes created a system where contracts and jobs were granted in exchange for personal payments rather than fair bidding processes.

There is a Bar association award for lawyer referral services named for my late sister.

When she was working at the New York county Bar association she stepped out to get some stamps. The man selling the stamps asked if she wanted a receipt for more than the actual cost so she could pocket the difference. He must have assumed she was a low-level staffer. That's how prevalent corruption is there.

When I worked in a gas station on the NJ Turnpike, we had an old guy who insisted on taking the long walk out to the diesel pumps so he could write a bogus receipt for the truckers and split the overage.

When we grew up in New Jersey that's the way life was.
