Next Purchase, a Savinelli Unica?

Hi, the Savinelli is a mid size, Group 4, 6mm limited production Egg style. I contacted Savinelli in Italy and they said their 6mm pipes will take both the Balsa and Savinelli's charcoal filters. I like that. Does anyone have any experiences or opinions? There is very little information on this one. Thanks

Every Savinelli pipe I've had has been great. I don't think they know how to make a bad pipe.

Savinelli makes a great pipe from entry level to serious high grades.
You really can’t make a bad choice.
You can use 6mm Balsa, Charcoal Activated , Paper Filters or none and use a 6mm to 3mm adapter.

I got one of the bent bulldog? shaped Unica pipes and it's a fantastic smoker. A bit larger than most Sav's that I own, with a bigger bowl, too. I dig them. I'll probably pick up another since they just added some new shapes.

I decided to pass on this pipe. As Film stated, it is a little on the big side and I prefer a little smaller. My Savenneli search continues. Thanks for your responses!

I went wrong with a Savinelli tbh. The "Dry System" pseudo-p-lip mouthpiece is not for me.

Savinelli is great and I have three different Unica models. They are excellent and you can’t beat the price. You won’t be disappointed.

Yeah, that might be the one Sav I don't like, too. I'll stick to Peterson for that kind of pipe.

@PaulRVA is to blame for an incoming estate sav autograph. He forced me to buy it

Any savs I owned preformed above their weight. I wouldnt pay the new price for the autograph models but I will pay the cost of a new mid line Pete.

The new autograph models are often 4-5. Id I were inclined to spend that I would look to a specific artisan.

I’m not fond of the Unica design but it seems like you get the same smoking quality from any line from Sav. Their consistency is great.

I really wasn't that crazy about it's cobalt blue stem. Happy I went with this Savinelli Onda instead.

I like the metal accent on the Onda series, and have considered grabbing one or two because of it. That said, the entire Unica line calls to me because the shapes are rather uncommon and unlikely to be seen again anytime soon.
