News from Nording?

From the Danish Pipe Shop, this tidbit in the description of the 2025 Hunting Pipe:

“Presentation from Nørding Pipes. Please not the that since Erik Nørding is closing down his large scale production here in 2025, this will be the last Hunting Pipe from Erik Nørding” (spelling errors theirs)

I wonder if the community can offer any more insight, as there is no news out otherwise? Is the operation moving? Will this be the last with Erik’s input but the brand continues?

Though no official announcement has been made that I know of, in a conversation at the Chicago show where I was just a bystander, it was said that Erik is 80ish and his son is not interested in making pipes, so he is closing up shop.

He’s 86 and has been making pipes since the 1950’s. He could probably use a vacation.

All good things must come to an end. I hope his retirement is happy, he's more than earned it.
