Orlik bought the rights to the Peter Stokkebye name over 20 years ago, and licensed the name back to Peter for 20 years. When the deal expired, the name went back to Orlik who chose to use Lane (a sister company) to distribute the tobaccos in the US. Villiger then went to Mac Baren to develop Newminster, whose line is designed to emulate PS.

Very interesting, roth. Many thanks for chiming in here. It doesn't seem as if a great many smokers have had a chance to try this blend, yet. I think I need to try the MacBaren Dark Fired Kentucky.

That's a great deal ($1.88 per ounce for 4 or more ounces). Thanks for that. Looks like this stuff benefits from just a little age -- both from what roth has said and what I've read on other sites.

More than just a bit of aging, but ya.
OK, I see you're planning on 3 years of aging or so. Have you had a chance to try any after 6 months or a year of aging, and was there a noticeable difference?
BTW, something about the aroma (as much as the taste) reminds of ERR Match and Aged Burley Flake, both of which have a scent that reminds me of cut firewood or of rooms in which a fireplace is used frequently.
