Hello , i am old man really, but i decided to start smoking my old pipes again . Why ? Why not ? . As a boy in the 60s every man i respected was a pipe guy . I watched and learned my grandfather was a gentleman and pipe man . I watched him fill and light his pipes many many times . His favorite was tuxedo and then half and half . I always thought half and half was on the harsh side . My favorite was flying Dutchman in a can . Then came my pipes Dr Grayson and medico. You could get pipes everywhere ! Tobacco too . I have three old favorites two savineilli in a style called Um Paul. And my beloved , I think it's churchhill brand Um paul . When I had it restemed they polished the name off . Also one meershaum hand craved out of turkey. Finally found an on line supply of some pretty decent Tobacco.
So I am back in the saddle again. Like the song. In todays world i sure need it . I am carrying for a lady friend with terminal stage four cancer.

Welcome! Pipes are great because they practically enforce relaxation and mindfulness. Good time to get back in, there are so many great options today as well, I feel like we have much better access than before.

Sorry to hear that. Having done it myself, it's a rough but noble role to take on.

Hello , i am old man really,
Funny how you get to say that every ten years after 30, and it just gets more true each time you say it. Some people say it at thirty but they're idiots.
but i decided to start smoking my old pipes again . Why ? Why not ? .
I am know you've come to the right place with that statement. Though in all honest be careful. Careful of smoking old pipes. If they sat unsused then they can get damaged by smoking them too often in a short period. Just rotate through them and wait at least a full day before smoking them until they're not your old pipes but your current collection (that will make sense).

I mean it's not like today. You could smoke your pipe in the grocery stores and when talking to a doctor. Meaning cigarettes were even lazier then.

Just so you know people here can't get enough pictures of pipes. Not telling you what to do, but how to make a really good first impression.
So I am back in the saddle again. Like the song.
I am going to have to listen for the pipe references in the song.
In todays world i sure need it .
It's the same world it's always been. We've just got different variations on the toys and the problems. As the saying goes. Same poop different flies. I am sure anyone at any time could find a decent excuse for needing to slow down and enjoy a bowl here and there and every chance they get.

Wow that sucks. Here is hoping the diagnosis is wrong because she's an outlier that defies medical convention, and if not that she's able to enjoy as much of life as possible.

I went to a tobacco to get Flints, fluid for my old zippo. And they had some of the old half and half. My grandfather's favorite. Either my taste buds are gone or they lightened it up . It ain't half bad i did noticed it's made in Denmark now . Not half bad really.

There is a whole thread on here about the new vs old H&H.
I personally feel like it's lacking something, kinda bland for me.
