in the end I went with opening the Squadron Leader...had been wanting to try it for a few months, and used the square tin potentially not staying sealed well over the years, as an excuse to open it up now...very happy with the first 2 bowlfuls, had to dry it out longer than I expected out of the tin, and had to slow my puffing cadence down a lot, i'm still a newb to smoking a pipe, tend to puff way more frequently than I think is probably necessary...
think i'll crack open the Frog Morton too as that has been on my wish list for a while too, then cellar the rest...

Sounds glorious. Slowing down is hard, but once you learn your inner rhythm, it becomes second nature. Like riding a bike, or hand-to-hand combat.
