Yeah seriously. Why ask seriously?
Sorry man - i just saw this. I was gonna say something like I think it's fine here. But on my multiple monitors someone from work slacked me on another screen when I was in the middle of replying to you and that was meant for them. Then a long and frustrating exchange ensued with my work. I guess I shouldn't even be on this while I am working - OR - I need to retire... I think it's the latter. Anyway, let us know how you like PA

Tobacconists here [well, they're more of a cigarette shop than a tobacconist] don't stock 'codger blends'.
Upon hearing that I'd not ever tried Prince Alfred, a member here [who's been AWOL for a while] who was helping me get tobacco, popped a pouch into one of my parcels and I'm so glad that he did.

The only other OTC Burley blend I've tried is Carter Hall.
If either were the only blends available I would not complain.
There's other blends that I prefer but most of them I could not smoke all day like I could PA or CH.

Although I've not tried a varietal leaf that I don't like, there's something about Burley that makes it appealing anytime.

My favourite Burley blend is Butternut Burley.
If you decide to give it a try, order from 4noggins [Hearth & Home BB] It's the same as Scottys BB but at a cheaper price. I'm sure you wont be disappointed.

No worries.
Before I found pipe forums I had been smoking a pipe for several years and had little clue.
I've learnt so much since thanks to members sharing their experience and advice.

A few days ago I opened my last pound bag of Butternut Burley.
It reminded me how some blends aren't so great straight from a freshly opened bag.
For some unknown reason, blends like BB need to be jarred for a few days before smoking.
My patience has been rewarded - puffing on a bowl of BB as I type with my morning cuppa tea. Yum.

Keep that in mind when trying new blends. puffy
