Welcome to the forum ! So many tobacco's , take your time . 1Q by lane limited is a great aro. to start . If you want to try an English blend Boswell's magnum is a good mild english . Read as mant tobacco reviews as you can . Great info in some of them .

I think the type of tobacco one starts out with may depend on whether or not one is already a smoker of cigarettes or cigars. If one is already a smoker, an aromatic may not be the best choice. They will tend to smoke hot and often bite - in fact, I think it may actually take more skill and experience to really appreciate a good aromatic, making them a tough choice for beginners across the board. Just MHO. I started with aros and nearly gave up after many unpleasant experiences. Only my innate stubbornness (as validated by Mrs Sothron) and my finding a few top-noted GLP blends kept me going.

Best way to do it is just to try I guess I won't give up because of tongue bite or else I would have stopped already from the chemical taste and bite I got from the captain black royal I was smoking last night

Great advice here and everyone has their opinion on what is the best starter tobacco out there. For me, part of the fun of pipe smoking is the search to find different and interesting tobaccos to try. What you may like today, you may not like tomorrow and vice versa. Good luck and enjoy the ride.
