New (to Me) Il Ceppo Pot from Pipestud

Hey all,

Just thought I'd share my newest PAD-fuelled purchase. I've been in need of a dedicated VA flake pipe for a while and it has taken some time to find the right pipe because I've been highly selective. I specifically wanted a chamber diameter of 19-20mm and a depth of 30-35mm. When I saw that this lovely sand-blasted pot listed on Ebay by Pipestud, it checked all the boxes and I knew I had to grab it. It's on its way to a friend's house now and then it'll be making the LONG trip to Singapore.

Does anyone else have an Il Ceppo? How do you find their pipes? I've read that they are criminally underrated.

I have four and they, along with my Ferndowns, are probably my best smokers. A member in our pipe club also swears by them. Highly underrated in my opinion.

I saw that one. Ive never actually owned a pot and ive been trying to find one that appeals to me. Ive also recently seen a couple Il Ceppos that i liked.

I don't have any as they always seem to be too heavy for clenching for me but they sure look beautiful.

Congratulations, it’s a great looking pipe! Both of my Il Ceppos are thick walled and are fantastic smokers. Had them about 15 years and are two of my favorites.

I wish I were able to share some more photos of the pipe with you all, but unfortunately the package has taken a very long rest with USPS in Miami since late March! Here's hoping it'll arrive in Singapore sometime in the next month (and maybe a shade more tan!).
