Well not new to pipes but new to this forum. I am one of those on again off again and back to it smokers. Started in the Navy in '75 smoking a pipe. I still have my Caminetto 154 Business my brother gave me in '76. I think I have misplaced more pipes that I still own. Enjoy my Corn Cob with a not so aromatic tobacco. I do smoke others but some I just cannot get into, yet. Getting more time to relax and enjoy the puff so thought I would join this group.

Hey from central North Carolina. I'm another old Navy vet, '68-'72, boot at San Diego, along with an A and C School, USS Gallant MSO 489 with an all-wood spruce hull, Operation Market Time off Vietnam, back to Long Beach, changed rates from radioman to journalist after topping off my journalism degree with Navy correspondence courses (!), on to Midway Island to run a multilith newspaper, and last few months at Milwaukee recruiting, and out two months early to start grad school, since they were ushering a lot of us out the door anyway. I can't say I didn't see the world.

Y2k- Please put your location in your Profile, as people are forgetful.
Why: It will save time for others as to where you live when you mention local stores, weather, tobacco prices, availability, regulations, location of photos, wildfires, air quality, etc. In many instances that saves time for those who read your posts, and for you in not having to reply to inquiries. .
How:
Under your avatar, (top right, left most of three symbols) you choose "Account Details", which brings up "My Account". "My Location" is halfway down. Whatever you're comfortable with- town, city, county, state. province, etc.
