Hello everyone. I've been smoking a pipe on and off for the last 10 years or so, and recently came across one that I saw on Youtube but can't find it anymore. I was wondering if I could get your help. I'm looking for one that seems to be closest to a bulldog style, with a very large bowl. Not necessarily a large inside diameter, but a large outer diameter. Kind of pyramid shaped but rounded like a sphere, similar to the bulldog I guess. It also had a medium to large bend to it. I was looking for one under $100 or so if possible. Anybody have any leads to a good brand/style that would fit that description? Thanks, and I look forward to reading up on the archives.............

It sounds like a "bent apple". Thats my closest guess.

Hmm, from your description, I am wondering if it isn't a bent-Brandy you're refering to?

Check out site sponsor smokingpipes.com and click the PIPE LOCATOR button. Then select "Bent Brandy" from the shape selector and just LOOK at all the possibilities.

roadie,

that Vauen is a real treat! I love the sterling silver band on the stem. I hope no one buys it before you do!

Schmitzbitz: I found it at http://www.smokershaven.com/butzchoquinestatepipebentbrandywluciteaccentunsmoked.aspx
But.it's gone. That is just a gorgeous pipe. I'll have to keep my eye out for one like that.

roadie, you do realize that particular Vauen pipe uses a 9mm filter, don't you? I'm not partial to them myself, and you can smoke them without the filter, but for nearly $100 you may want to get something you won't have to make concessions on.

You can always get a filter eliminator from one of the vendors. I got one for a Savinelli that had a 6mm filter. Smokes perfectly now, sans filter.
