A couple months ago, I showed a picture of a pipe shaped like a stack of pancakes for my new Maple Street tobacco. Someone challenged me to make a pipe for Mississippi Mud or some other swamp tobacco. Here is my response.
FYI, the wood is from a cypress knee, which is part of the root structure that is above the water. Cypress is very soft and may cause respratory problems, so I doubt these pipes will be smoked long or at all. I tried to make one look like a tree stump poking out of a swamp. The defects in the wood look cool, but will quickly burn out.
