New Stanwell and Peterson

I just completed our move to Idyllwild, a wonderful village in a huge pine forest; elev. 6000 feet, pop. 3,300. As my celebration for the move, I got 2 new pipes. I appreciate all pipe shapes, but the bent apple/billiard shape is my choice for smoking. So many variations on a theme! I'm breaking them in sloooowly...(images from smokingpipes.com,my go to shop).

I'm (ehemmm...) years old and I've never owned my own house - until now! Yes, a pipe or two is a wonderful way to celebrate this. Rented our last place for 34 years. Now I'm smoking my new Peterson, on my own deck! MAN!

This morning my wife looked out from our balcony at the top of the stairs to me, sitting on the living room floor. She said, "I love our house." That totally made it for me!
