I was checking out the Black Swan tobacconist when I noticed 2 new Gawith blends. They're both ready rubbed.

Gawith Hoggarths Summer Reserve:

The Gawith and Hoggarth's Summer Reserve is a blend of exceptionally smooth, mellow flavoured Virginias mixed with Sweet Black Cavendish and Burley tobaccos, which have been top dressed with refreshing flavours of Gin and Tonic which complement the grassy Virginias wonderfully.

Gawith Hoggarths Jubilee Blend:

Gawith Hoggarth are a truly British company. And as true patriots Gawith Hoggarth have produced a Pipe tobacco to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee and their 230th year of tobacco blending. A wonderfully smooth blend of light and dark Virginia's topped off with some Burley from over the pond. A truly timeless blend that Sir Walter Raleigh himself would have enjoyed!

The Jubilee one sounds like it’s up my gennel, not sure about one flavoured G&T but it might be worth a punt?
I can't stand gin but when it comes to tobacco flavours it's different. I don't drink anymore but even when I did I couldn't stand sherry but for some reason I love the Samuel Gawith Springtime Flake that was aged in sherry barrels.
Same thing goes for brandy or rum toppings. I never liked those spirits when I drank but I love tobaccos topped with those flavours.

Thank you. That's awesome news. I'll try the G&T one, but I'm excited about the other one much more.
I've just ordered a tin of each to give them a try.
No idea when I'll get around to trying them as I've got way too many blends open at the minute as it is.
Something different for the cellar is always welcome as I like trying new blends.

I'll be interested to hear people's opinions when they try them. Would’ve been awesome if they were both twists instead of ready rubbed.

Same! But I'm putting in a new order at the end of the week & I doubt I'll be able to stop myself popping them - so I'll definitely post my initial impressions.

With all the blends we've lost this year this is brilliant news.

Broken flake would have been my vote, but I'll take what I can get!

If I remember right the Kendal House (their previous new release) was ruled out by deeming, so I imagine this will be the same. Sorry!

We lost a lot of blends to Brexit though, so this is very good news!

Yeah, its been a massacre in England as far as losing blends is concerned. Hopefully the EU and Britain will come to some understanding and the blends will return. Won't hold my breath on that one, tho.

America get new blends left, right and center but over here it's a pretty rare occurrence so it's always a bit of an event when something new drops.

Also - can't believe I only just spotted it - round tins. That's kind of interesting...
