Thanks gentlemen, I have a few Savinelli's now, they have a Mediterranean flair & style to them, they complement my beloved English pipes with their old traditional pipecraft & solid designs.

Based on my very own experience,these Savinelli Romas are very dependable pipes and good smokers,i have had two of them ,with lucite stems fitted,The only reason I sold them these were filtered pipes

Very nice. I like the gold stamping and accent against the black stem.

I have a Rossi in the same shape (Rossis add an 8 before the Savinelli shape number, so it's 8673), and I've been quite pleased with it. Despite its bulky size, it's quite light and fits in the hand well. I use it for Latakia blends, mostly, and it smokes very well.

Nice pipe. I love the quarter bent bulldogs. The 623 and 624 are both great looking bulldogs.
