It baffles the mind how our president is spending $470,000 tax dollars per day on his month long vacation, while heros of our country are failed by the system.

Would you PM me with a mailing address ? I have a handful of pipes from a lifelong Army/Navy veteran. He was a veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam. I think he would appreciate a couple of his pipes coming your way. He told me once when he was 18 or 19 year old an officer found him smoking a cigarette, pulled it out of his mouth, throw it in the ocean and handed him a pipe. Told him "smoke these not those", and he did the rest of his life.

That is a really cool thing you're doing.

If you donate pipes please make sure they re cleaned and sanitized or new please. I have no way to thoroughly clean them as alcohol is not allowed. I have also received a donation through PayPal and it went to tobacco, cleaning supplies, and pipe tools. I truly appreciate this donation as much as the other donations.

Btw this location houses 250 vets. Unfortunately not much privacy. Just moved I to a 3 man too. And is a huge improvement over the 6 man rooms.

Got 5 boxes in today that had a varying amount of tobacco and pipes in. Half of it is gone already as well as all the briar pipes but one. It was a good day and a lot of people are thrilled. Got a whole case (6) tubs of prince Albert and only two tins are left. More and more guys are picking up the pipe. 3 new guys today. Total of around 30+ pipes not including cobs given away. I try to give a briar and a cob away to each person. Cleaners and pipe tools are always needed as most people forget to send them.

Man the prince Albert went quick. I have two tins left and I know a cigarette smoker that rolled his own that will probably want a tub. I truly appreciate all the donations. It has made my life here better being able to give to these guys. I don't keep any of it for myself as I have pleanty I accumulated before becoming homeless. When I came here I was pretty much the only one who smok3d a pipe and now there are atleast a dozen or so guys. Feels good to spread the love and I could not do it without the help.

tarheel1, the Vietnam Vets/Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club, M. Chap ID donated everything but three briars, which is my personal donation, pictured in the below photograph! I am proud of my brothers who dug deep into empty pockets to assist when a Veteran requested assistance!

Just an update. I have received a lot of donations last month and a bunch more pipes away. I am trying to make sure each guy gets a least 2 pipes plus a cob or two. You guys plus briar nation and brothers of the briars have been great. The tobacco that goes first and the quickest are the cherry blends, then the other fruit arms, then the other a row. Some of the guys like the clever blends dwhile some others love the English, Va, and Va per blends. I would say it is a 10-5-2 ratio on those. I will have to get them more fruitand flavored a aros as soon as I can. I have not kept any of the tobacco, but I have been thinking of keeping a cob for myself if no one objects. Overall it has been a huge success and I am working with a local shop on a get together where we can have a pizza party and watch movies and smoke. Again thanks again to all who have donated. I could not do it without you.

This is awesome! I had a fellow send me a bunch of tobacco awhile back who wanted it specifically to go to vets. I will be putting a big box in the mail to you. There will be a cob in there for you Tarheel and some other pipes, and tools for the guys. I picked as many of the fruit flavored tobaccos that I had on hand or cookie aromatics. There is also a tub of Prince Albert and a tub of Granger and some zip lock bags for dispersing it. The man who donated this stuff will be tickled that it is all going to vets in need. Thanks for doing this and for posting the pics.
