Great post Kevin. I'm looking forward to trying the new Mac B Virginia.
25 mile walk? I recommend next time driving a jazzy equipped with a pipe stand and beverage holder.

Great report. Really hit on the best new stuff.
I'm most excited about the Mac Baren tobacco and the new Peterson tobaccos, especially the pouches.
Also, if I'm remembering correctly, the new Peterson Founder's Blend is the same blend as the 2015 St. Patrick's Day blend (as noted in the article, it was their best-selling St. Patty Day blend ever).

What a great trade show. The exhibitors really come forth with their upcoming products. Those are excellent Pete St. Patrick's Day pipes, and the Mac Barens new HH Virginia looks excellent ... among so much else. I'm glad the manufacturers and other insiders have a chance to do business. New Orleans is a great venue; I've been to professional conventions there myself, though not related to tobacco and pipes. Thank you for the glimpse inside. Great photos and helpful captions.

Looking forward to seeing this Briarworks Classic line. I just recently picked up a straight apple from them and the fit and finish far surpassed my expectations of a sub-$150 pipe. If that holds true for these sub $100 pipes other factories may have to take notice.

I picked up a couple, they were pretty good. I honestly expect to see more of them going to local tobacconist shops. To give you some perspective about how many pipes had sold - after an hour they already had sold 150 pipes.

I just wish we could get the Peterson blends during our summer. Here it is the middle of summer and still no 2015 Summertime blend. :-(

There have been a slew of hot pressed tobaccos created lately, and the addition of HH Pure Virginia is somewhat of a surprise in this crowded niche. Looking forward to it. :puffy:
