Fawned over the Vauen pipes on their website, especially the Auenland longnecks, but couldn't find a way to click Shut Up and Take My Money. Likely for the better, fiscally. I probably won't pick up the nicely priced ones (around 60$ or so, like you mentioned), as I'm just not as drawn to them.

Quick question, jumping to LePipe.it link to the left, one is met with a lovely picture, copied below. What is the name/where can I find this gem of a pipe? Mea culpa if it is a lazy question, but I just couldn't locate it upon looking through the site...

Thanks everyone. Amorelli may be one to aspire to. I'm sure I could drum up the bit about the mountains and climate of Sicily with my wife, convincing her that her heritage would be rooted in the briar (ahem). Yet a wee bit out of my current price range, so it would prove a hard sell. Perhaps a gift for the old man with the upcoming holiday! Genod looks to have a churchwarden I may pick up, though a tad small in length and chamber diameter. No matter! I'd like to say thanks again to everyone for your kind advice.

NOS is an acronym for? Unsmoked estate pipes, I gather. It is likely something silly I am missing, but surprised I did not find it in the Terminology thread.

If you like the wire rustication, like the Amorelli, you may be interested in some of the offerings from Moonshine Pipes. Much more affordable. C6BFB0C3-A388-46D5-861A-FF7B3C7032C0.png

After a few Missouri Meerschaums, I have opted for a Peterson Churchwarden (rusticated D15). I was debating between that and an estate pipe that was a Peterson reading pipe as well, in green. Looked great. But choosing new over old is something I partially regret - could that have been a steal? It was about 20 dollhairs less on smokingpipes.

Missouri Meerschaums are wondrous for beginners. Cheap and well-made, great size, though not a fan of the stem. It seems I am partial to vulcanite, early on. I wanted to revive my first thread and thank all of you again for your input. Happy to be here

A D15 is a beautiful shape. Good choice!
