Hello and welcome from the great state of Pennsylvania. I’m just a mere infant pipe smoker too. I did the exact same thing you did in using this forum as my research encyclopedia. You’ve got me beat in the pipe department though. I still haven’t been able to bite the bullet yet and buy a real briar pipe. I’m still sipping on my 2 cobs. One day soon I guess. Anyway it’s cool to have another noob in the group. There are a few of us now.

I'm also new to the pipe world: I started in March with a garbage pipe and Captain Black Gold, which gave me steam burns but no smoke. Thanks to a lot of quality time learning from the members here, I now have some good quality pipes and am enjoying good quality tobacco. It's been very enjoyable!
