New Pipe- Happy Early B'day To Me

Since I'm turning 60 in April I decidied to treat myself to an early gift- an Eric Nording Signature. I never had an unfinished pipe before; just like I've never been 60 before. I guess you're just supposed to smoke this pipe and let nature take its course regarding color.

This is not a recommendation, but if I owned an unstained pipe, I don't think I could resist the temptation to put a carnauba wax finish on it, just to protect it from finger grime and oils. OTOH, one could just let it accumulate as much character as possible.

As Puffy said the unfinished pipe will take on a rich darker color as you smoke it. I have one and was very surprised by the transformation. I dont think there is any need to do anything to it. Great looking pipe by the way.

I have a similar Nording to this one. It is a great smoker. The coloring looks fantastic. I've had mine for about 4 months. Great pipe

Happy Birthday . The oils from your fingers will color the pipe in no time . Or you can use some EVO . 8)

Have an exact pipe (unfinished Nording). It has taken a year for it to colour but the find result is simply awesome. Try not to smoke it daily. Give the nicotine some time to dry on the wood between smokes.
