New pipe days are the best. J. Alan Squashed Apple and Nate King Tomato.

I was originally only planning on getting the Nate King Tomato. Something about that deep deep blast is just amazing. However; when I saw the J Alan I couldn't decide which one I wanted so yolo. Why not both? lol. Please don't tell my wife. I've had them for years ok? 😅

Yeah, I've been known to be guilty of that too!.....I don't think my wife would care so much about pipes.....as long as I don't start with motorcycle parts again...rotf

Contact Jeff to see if the horn extension he used was stabilized. Meaning "injected" (for lack of a better term) with a plastic-y material via alternating vacuum and high pressure.

Stabilized horn and bone is tough stuff. No worries. UN-stabilized frequently cracks/splits over time, though. Your best bet for it is periodically wiping with a bit of some sort of natural oil, like neatsfoot or Hooflex.

I solved that problem by getting a divorce LOL.

Nothing like the expectation of a new pipe in the mail, or an estate piece for that matter.

I'm currently waiting on a used Sven Knudsen and can't wait to have a wifeless smoke with it.

Now I have more pipes than my wife had shoes!!

Those are incredible. Like Picasso's in the pipe world. Congrats. I hope you smoke them often.

The only thing sadder than wasted talent is an unsmoked artisan pipe at an estate sale.

killer choices, beautiful pipes. what Nate King did with the stubby thick shank is really cool to me.
if you have more photos of that photo I'd love to see them!
enjoy those beautiful pipes.
