New Pipe Day!

Got these with a stand for 20.00! First pipe is my first Comoys, second is marked "Fader's", third is just a Brylon Medico. I have found that the Faders was made by Shalom for the shop Fader Tobacco. I bought the lot because the Fader looks like a Grabow free hand and I dont have one that style. They are all barely smoked. Maybe someone tried out pipe smoking and started with the Medico and then promptly stopped! :rofl: Anyhow, you guys seem to look pics of pipes as much as I do so here is a couple of this mornings haul. I had intended on selling the Comoys to justify keeping the free hand, then I realized I have no Canadian either!

Oh, and a guitar player too? The brylon will smoke very hot. I have one from a looong time ago. Its a conversation piece and I won't smoke it anymore. The other pipes and stand look real nice. Good pick-up for the money.

Got Yello Bole that was brylon...wow it was a horrid pipe! Gave it away to a friend and felt bad about it so I bought him a dane cob Didn't want him to not smoke pipe because of that thing!

Thanks UA! My collection is growing When I get a cool pipe I smoke it a few bowls and if I don't like it I sell it! I smoked the Faders today and it was great so thats a keeper already! The Comoys is a piece of art IMHO so hopefully it smokes good. If not, someone already wants it... Love this site!

The shalom fader pipe i'm guessing is a distant cousin to the grabow family,back in the day shalom made pipes for grabow.

Good haul, man. I use DR Strings or nothing on my axes (at least the guitars). The exception is my Schecter Scorpion bass which is a 4-string tuned BEAD. I either use the Schecter strings (which are really GHS), set up for that bass or buy a DR 5-String set and toss out the G string (Notes above the staff are the guitar player's job). I will use Dean MArkleys on my acoustic, though if I can't get the DRs.
