Just got a custom order Northern Briars billiard. It's my first experience with them and it turned out to be exactly what I asked for. It's a great pipe. Also, it only took 2 weeks to get from start to finish!!!

Northern Briars are a great value, well made and priced substantially below pipes of lesser quality. Enjoy it!
That is very true. I paid 211 for this one and they are using really good quality briar. This pipe weighs almost nothing as do all of his other pipes I've handled.

Thank you. I'm extremely satisfied with it. I wish I could've taken a better picture so everyone could see the black over red finish. It only has a slight red tinge to it. Matches the cumberland and red top nicely. I can't wait to build up some cake in it!
I was going to ask for more pics. I can tell, that the true color/blast isn't showing well.
Start with indirect natural light. Unless you have specific exposure controls, shoot dark objects against a darkish background. (White against light b/g's)
That's a beautiful pipe. I echo what others have said about Ian being a stand up guy. I bought my first ever commission from him a couple of years ago. Love his work.
