Thanks Lankford I bought that pipe in the past year from cup o' Joe's so it was new but I don't know it's exact date of manufacture. The spigots are one of my favorite lines from Peterson I hope to add a few more to My collection.

Just smoked my new Spigot for the first time. Wonderful first smoke! Excellent draw...cool dry smoke. I smoked FM on the Town + extra Latakia...experienced great flavor from this virgin pipe. Lot's more to smoke before I build a realizable cake...but, I've kinda fallen in LOVE with this pipe.

Briarfriar, that green spigot is a beautiful pipe! I've never had a spigot, but my understanding is that they are basically fancy army mounts. Don't quote me on that, but I think I'm right. I've wanted a Peterson green spray for a while myself, just haven't found the right one, or had the coin when I did find it! Lol! Congrats!

petes03 is totally correct. Its a fancy military mount, so no fear of taking it apart while smoking. One thing to pay attention to is swabbing out the shank when you clean it. I basically fold a bristle cleaner over, dip it in alcohol and swab until the cleaner come out clean.
That is a seriously nice pipe. Let us know how it smokes.

Can't Leave
I just took delivery on this Peterson Spigot in green, and I'm stunned by its aesthetic qualities. At 6.5 inches in length, it is longer than what I'm accustomed to, but despite that and the sterling silver hardware, it feels quite light.
The shades of green, with its near luminescence created by the flame grain, are sublime.
I'll try to post a photo or two, but I don't think photos will convey the luster and color.
Definitely bringing this to New York Pipe Club tomorrow night.

Congrats briarfriar. That's a great looking spigot. The Pete spigots still catch my eye quite often.
