New Peterson Pipe Smoker

Welcome to the forums plateauguy!
I am an admirer of Peterson pipes and am holding out for an estate of good quality in the 999 shape. I know that they can be had (in a couple different lines) new for under $100, but I'm miserly and like to futz around in the Pipe Cave.

Welcome to the forum, and welcome to Petemania. As you might guess, I love Petersons. Of my 40-odd pipes, 11 are Petes. I especially like the System pipes, if for no other reason than that you can remove the stem for cleaning even while the pipe is hot. And, they're great smokers. I really like the P-lip, although I'm probably in the minority here, for its mouth feel, avoidance of tongue bite; and I swear that directing the smoke upward to the palate lets you experience more tobacco flavor.

Plateau, I'm glad you found a brand you like. I don't know what I'd do without my Petersons. I've got a Kinsale smooth bent apple on the way. Can't wait!
