New Pete Finally Arrived

Thanks guys. I love the looks and feel of this pipe. I wasnt able to hold one first - local B&M had none. It is much lighter than I thought it would be. Fit and finish is flawless. I am going to try and break it in slowly (1/4 bowls are going to be painful). I did smoke a full bowl of the DH London in a different pipe though and man I like this stuff!

Beautiful pipe. Congrats! I'm sure I'll be hammered for saying this but with a few of my pipes, I did the 1/4 bowl a few times, then 1/2 bowls, etc, etc..Then with others, I filled the pipe right off the bat and smoked the first few bowls really slow, letting it cool, then re-lighting now and then. No difference what's so ever. The pipe is meant to be smoked and if you start off slow throught he bowl, I think you're fine. If the pipe only last's for 50 years instead of 100, I'm not worried about it. Just my opinion. I think the problem is that some people smoke like frieght trains so the bowl gets way too hot the first few smokes, not good then.
