That's a great looking pipe! The stem looks just about perfect. I'd say Isaac Paulson has learned a lot from Paul Larryson!

Fine pipe by a carver of any age, I'd say. I have always liked an artfully done briar with combined finishes, and this is done to a turn.

It is pretty amazing that a 14 year old can make something that pretty. Congrats on another great addition to your collection.

I just bought the Paulsson 1/4 bent blasted billiard. Looked at it a couple days ago and finally pulled the trigger today. Smoking one of his dad's Rhodesians as I type.

What impresses me from a 14-year-old is the advanced taste and judgement in design. Undoubtedly, he has good influences from his dad and grandpa, which is good. But this pipe has both exuberance and restraint, and that has to be cultivated. Talent can show up very early in life.
That's a killer pipe. Mso nails it, I think, with exhuberance and restraint. The end result is a very charming pipe.
