I'm very happy you were able to fix the problem. I have been looking at Neerup pipes for a couple of years and really like the designs and finishes.

I'm really enjoying the Neerup. It's not broken in yet, but getting closer. But it was a great smoke, as soon as I cleared the obstruction. You can't go wrong with a Neerup, in my opinion. :puffpipe:

One more illustration that a wee bit of quality control at the end of the carving or assembly line process could do miracles to burnish the company's image with customers. These airway clearing problems, loose metal bands and shank caps, and akimbo screw-on stems are so minor and could be fixed in three minutes by a properly equipped inspection tech. I bet it would pump up profits by five percent or more.

That is so odd. I have a bent apple, and a bent pot, and both have performed beautifully.

chasingembers, most of my collection are bents because I prefer the design being a clencher. I believe you will find most of them are fine. But it is not unheard of to have constricted airways in pipes in general but more so with bents because they actually have to be bent after drilling. I believe this is the reason you frequently see pipes advertised in the secondary market evidencing a pipe cleaner sticking out of the bit.
