Hello to all. I'm Mark, 59 from the UK and have taken up pipe smoking 3 weeks ago. Dad was an avid pipe smoker and I just love the smell of pipe tobacco. I am clueless about the hobby knowing only how to fill, smoke and clean my pipes with pipe tool and cleaners. I look forward to learning more.

Actually no, I'm not a cricket fan, but I do occasionally enjoy watching a match at a village green or over the park.
If it's amateur I like it, but have no interest in professional cricket.

One thing you will quickly find out is that there is no consensus at all on most things pipe related. A stinger is *generally* considered to be gimmicky, but if it works for you, use it.



I've never seen those before. I don't think that is a filter though.

I can't see how they can be filters myself but that's how they are described in the instructions that came with the pipe.

Rugby Union, particularly the World Cup and 6 Nations for me. I don't follow the domestic Premiership though. Rugby League bores me to death. I don't like uncontested scrums and the 6 tackles malarkey.
