Starting to Get Obsessed
Just started smoking mersh. I got my first pipe when I was in the Navy and one of the many ports I visited was Turky. Walking along the many shops of the market place I noticed many of them had black leather boxes that looked like smoking pipes. I purchased a few of them and sent them home and forgot about them completely untill just recently. I got them over 20 years ago and they look just like I got them.
Very cool!

Hey from central North Carolina. During my sea duty in the Navy, I bought various souvenirs. A thief got my nifty motorcycle jacket from Hong Kong, but I did get a nice bespoke suit that I wore until I gained the usual weight post service. My best purchase was a shirt for my dad from the Philippines with roosters embroidered on it. He wore that for fifteen years or more, everywhere. He was a vivid personality, and the shirt suited him. My best experience was happening on a Chinese New Year in Hong Kong, while it was still a British Crown Colony, a vast parade with many dragons and tens of thousands of spectators, over in Kowloon. Your pipes were just waiting for you to remember them. For definition and clarity in taste you can't beat meers. Happy smoking. Welcome aboard.
