Probably not. One thing about signatures is that they don't appear every time. After the first post in a thread, they normally don't appear again in subsequent messages in the same thread.
Sometimes it'll look like a thing is saved when it actually isn't. The forum software is a little oldish & occasionally wonky if present-day commands are tried. It's a bit of a peculiar system, but so are a lot of us; it was a [ahem] "learning curve" for me on a few things like getting pictures to post, etc. -laugh-
