"This may sound silly but how are they being attached magnetically..."
Drop a small/strong magnetic in the bowl. Remove/dump it when you deploy the pipe.

My experience has been that the ball bearing does not work well with oddly shaped or thick walled pipes.

To attain the level of stability I desire I found that a 6-10 pds cylindrical magnet works perfect on the inside, coupled with a 20 pds magnet on the underside.

I'm an old school guy and don't do much of the "modern" stuff.

So my favorite is the last one. Traditional, but very nice.
However, they are all great looking racks.

You have the eye/ability of an artist.
In fact, the first rack is the prettiest rack I've ever seen.

And, I'm not putting you on.

That thing is gorgeous...looks better than any being sold IMO.
GREAT JOB!

@Ejames, they are parts of and old combine harvester. I'm not sure which part, but I think the blade runs through the part which holds the vertical wooden rest for the stems.

Sorry I didn't answer earlier. I didn't see your question.
@Blackmouth, thank you very much! You made my day.
Cheers,
J
