I think I may have picked this one up because of something you said once, about a thinner, taller bowl doing well fr hotter smokes. Macbaren #1 is realy what I want to smoke and see how it does.Interesting. I have a very deep MM freehand with a conical cob that fills this niche. It is especially good for faster burning, dry burley like Five Brothers, among other leaf. Semois as well. MM's special editions are always of interest. I especially like the collaborations with Dagner and C&D that come with acrylic stems.
Nice find!My mother in law just gave me this pipe for Christmas, she found it at an antique store. Barely smoked, and came with a rusty wind cap.

Indeed it does. So far I've ran English Chocolate, Christmas Cheer, and HH Burley Flake through it, but I think the English Chocolate is going to be it's tobacco. It's carver has only been making pipes since September 2018, but he REALLY knocked this one out of the park.?@chasingembers Please stop showing that Christmas Pipe (third photo), I get more and more jealous every time that I see it ?.
But seriously, I do love that pipe. I assume that it smokes as well as it looks?

This is a beautiful pipe. Something Santa himself would smoke.
Do it! New Black Frigate furnace!I should also add that I was gifted this carved pear wood pipe from my sister in law. It is definitely a piece meant for the shelf and not the rotation, but given the carving I am AWFULLY tempted to run some Black Frigate through it...
