Hi, after reading for a while I decided to join I am in my early 70's and have fond memories of my dad smoking revelation tobacco in the 1950's. The revleation tobacco by philip Morris was found in those iconic tins. . They all ended up being used in his workshop to hold screws, nails, and assorted small parts.
The other day I was looking in an old desk the family had and I found a bag of his old pipes. Back in the 1950's I loved the aroma of the revelation tobacco he smoked, and finding these pipes brought back fond memories. My sisters share in this great memory of the smell of the revelation tobacco and those iconic tins. I am considering taking up smoking, ( I don't smoke now) and I wonder if there is a modern equivalent for that old reveleation tobacco. Anyway I am located in western MA, and hope to learn alot about pipes, tobacoo and cleaning and restoring the pipes that I found. Gonzo
