The ad copy is great, but I'd be interested to hear more about the thought process that went into this.

I'd love to hear the genesis as well.
The ingredients sorta remind me of a Scottish style baccy.

increaeing is a clever neologism which gives a nod to the aether of invoked atmospheres during the 6d bowlful,

climbing ever higher toward an alchemic Empyrean Heaven with each wreath wrapping around a strange unearthly quintessence where the smoker knows the smoke to be a grand unfolding cosmology unto itself.

The Porteus Scotch Flake. Ahh... sweet memories of that one.
No doubt,

it was amazing stuff!

Now,

from the Anglotrivia dept.

An interesting British tradition,

adding a sixpence into the Christmas Pudding cake:
Traditionally, a silver sixpence was stirred in to the mix, to bring the finder wealth and good luck in the year to come. In the past it was usual for every member of the household to give the pudding a stir and make a wish. Some families have used the same Christmas sixpence for as long as they can remember!

Daggummit. Now I have to add another flake to my list. I don't know if Greg writes his own product prose or not, but whoever the scribe, the delicious descriptions inflame my already out of control TAD.

Whatever the rationale for this flake, it sounds great. Jumped on the bandwagon yesterday -- couple of tins coming this week.

Has anyone smoked this yet? I remember someone smoked a preproduction version, but only a bowl or three. I'm curious to hear reactions, since this isn't one that appeals to me immediately.

Tin note smells a lot like Cumberland. Given, the tin of Cumberland I'm comparing it with is 18 months old, but it's really similar. I didn't get a topping smell in the vein of, let's say, Haddo's. Something's there. One of my friends just had a bowl and says it reminds him of Briar Fox with dark fired instead of the burley and less than 10% perique, and maybe some sort of topping.
