I never got around to Rodeo but many of the Kendal blends smoked very well. I think some of them got the axe due to fruit flavoring such as blueberry and banana.Sounds like it's right up Briar Lee's street.

Very little. I have yet to smoke it but I was looking forward to a little more licorice. How about the North Star? Does the licorice come through at all? I like licorice, and would try some of this if the note is actually present in the tobacco.
Only if they can get the 500g bag down to $20Sounds like it's right up Briar Lee's street.
North Star is great but licorice is very mild. How about the North Star? Does the licorice come through at all? I like licorice, and would try some of this if the note is actually present in the tobacco.
I just finished a sample of Rodeo from a friend, and it's falling into place for me with some other blends that I am trying at the moment. Very burleyish, smoky, maybe even a bit oily. It fits in great with a rotation of HU Black Moor and C&D Firebird Flake. Good stuff for one that is looking for something different, with the majority of flavoring coming from the tobacco selections, instead of relying on added outside flavors. I even kind of like the cut. YMMVI just finished a tin. I rather enjoyed it. It's Virginia/Oriental, but the Virginias are roasted to the point that it's very burley/dark fired like. Orientals give it a slight tang, but otherwise just a good strong blend.
No one is aniseed (already in production) and one is liquorice (new)Is this the same as aniseed twist?
WCC has some. But, I'll definitely grab a few tins when it comes back around.
Great. Thanks for the clarification. No one is aniseed (already in production) and one is liquorice (new)
Is it going to be released in the UK?No one is aniseed (already in production) and one is liquorice (new)
Yes the production list is pretty much exactly the same for the UK as for export. We don't release a blend to one country and not others. Is it going to be released in the UK?
We never got the Burnt Ends releases, though. Are they coming to the UK at some point?Yes the production list is pretty much exactly the same for the UK as for export. We don't release a blend to one country and not others.
My favorite Gawith Hoggarth blend is Westmorland Slices . I have only seen it in the UK and once in Switzerland. Is it available for import to the USA?If it says vintage cut, then it is a thicker cut of the same. The twists are the same but different thickness - bogie/X/XXX. If it says a sliced twist, then it's the twist sliced. If its called a plug, it's a plug, if it says a cut plug, then its a plug sliced - e/g basically a flake. It is says its Burnt Ends, then its Burnt Ends
Burnt Ends are a special only for the USA due to fact that we only have a limited amount and so cannot have for general release. We never got the Burnt Ends releases, though. Are they coming to the UK at some point?
Any idea when we'll get this new flavoured rope in the UK? I checked the online retailers but couldn't see it listed. Also, has the whiskey flavoured rope been discontinued? I can't see it anywhere.
Thanks for the reply![]()
It is available for export as are all products, but whether the distributor can order (regulations may prevent sale) or does order, is entirely up to them.My favorite Gawith Hoggarth blend is Westmorland Slices .
