Hey! I'm new here, from Dundee, Scotland, have been smoking a pipe for about a year now, I usually smoke special (mellow) virginia as an everyday baccy, keep a couple of tins of connoisseurs choice for when I fancy a nicer smoke, probably on the younger end of the spectrum here (late 20s)

Should've edited this to say about 2 years on reflection, having a very sleepy afternoon up here, yourself? The Welsh Marches might be one of the few wetter places in the UK than Scotland what are pipe smoking supplies like down there? Only know of one newsagents in this town that routinely stocks more than your usual otc pipe baccies. Been enjoying the company (and sage advice) here very much so far! Enjoyed your Tolkien ramblings too!

A drizzly, soggy afternoon, too wet to get out to the allotment. Again. Perhaps I'll just don my wet weather gear tomorrow and plumb in yet another overflow rainwater butt to stop it all going to waste. Penny to a quid that March brings a drought. No floods here as yet, biut I think my late carrots and parsnips may be starting to float away. As to tobacconists, it's a 60+ mile round trip to Hereford or 100+ to Brecon - part of the price one pays for living in a peaceful and fairly remote rural area. And I was very gratified by the response to the Tolkien piece
