I remember reading all the good reviews on Escudo a couple months ago, so I purchased a tin. I smoked a couple coins and did not like it. Tried again, and it was worse. It’s in some landfill now. 8B85F0EB-009D-49B9-B444-E26B770C1D2F.jpeg

How do people read the date code? I was just watching that some of the Covid trial people have gotten bells palsy as a side affect. I would have to be really careful as I have had Bells Ballsy 3 times so far in my life. They have never been able to tell me how I get it or why. All three times it was on the right side and I recovered all three times by using Prednisone each time to cure it. It took a little over a month each time and I had no side affects at any time. it did scare the shit out of me all three times as waking up to see your right side of your face paralyzed with my right eye needing a patch to keep it closed, seeing the right side of my face totally paralyzed and seeing my smile drooping it scared the shit out of me. The first time I thought I ate too many Quaaludes, but after the second time with no luudes in me I knew it wasn't those drugs.
I was lucky as shit that each time my face came back to normal and I wasn't permanently deformed. Thanks to whoever made up prednisone because that cured me every time. It took a little over a month to get it squared away each time. I have a cousin whose wife got iy just once and it still deformed a bit on one side of her face.
The first doctor I want to was the head neurologist at the Brigham and Women's Hospital which is in Boston and one of the most foremost neurologist department in the entire world. The guy told me both times, sorry no idea why people get that shit. The third doctor was in a hospital in Providence r.i where they are no slouches.

I have had some of the weirdest shit in my life. I had viral meningitis 2 times in the 90's and man that shit is some painful stuff. It feels like someone is stabbing you in the back of the head. The only thing they could guess at as to why I got it was counting all the dirty money I would count every night when closing out my pool hall. Money is some damn dirty shit. So many people have touched it by the time I would get it and it even smelled like crap.

I had to start using gloves to count it. Life is some really wacky crap at times.

Harris, I immensely enjoyed the random humility of this post.

Cracked a tin of Escudo (2018) this morning and I'm such an idiot, I thought it was really good. Hopefully I stay ignorant long enough to enjoy my remaining tins. ;)
Like Timt, I don’t know better, I really liked my first try of Escudo. I don’t have much experience with Va/Pers. I enjoy LBF, LNF, and LTF, not sure if those would be considered in the Va/Per pantheon. I like them, I’m not In love with them. I do love Sun Bear if that helps lead into my next thought.

So, naturally my next question, which you’re probably tired of answering is.... what shoul I try next in Va/Per-Land. I like stuff on the deeper, sweeter side.

Here's a few ideas: Louisiana Red, Virginia Spice, Anniversary Kake, Ken Byron Verge Engine Overdrive, KBV Festivus Pudding, Firestorm, Viprati, among others.

You might like Peterson Deluxe Navy Rolls, and Sutliff Victoria, too.

I have enjoyed aged escudo in the past, probably an older version, although still in the larger diameter tins. I have a couple of escudo tins that are smaller / older. Can't recall who made those.

I had intended to stock up again because I recall it being spectacular with age, but you folks have me spooked. I have also enjoyed Solani 633, again in the smaller tins of yesteryear...the tins look larger/flatter now but still square. I'm not a vaper expert, but I'd like to stock some tins that are still reliable and let them age. I'll check out the suggestions from jiminks...

I really regret the apparent demise of the smaller blending houses...
