Looks Grp 3 to my eye. Group 1 pipes are tiny!

Dunhill pipes on Ebay aren't exactly blowing the doors off lately, I'm not sure how folks would be doing knock-off's. Watches, sunglasses, handbags, clothing, sure (I just bought and returned a pair of knock off Maui Jim sunglasses). But pipes? Not likely these days, there are too many more lucrative luxury items/brands to exploit.

There’s nothing alarming to me. Unusual? Yes, but not alarming. I believe it to be an underlined 14, making it a 1974. Everything looks to be 1970s to me. The missing “Root Briar” stamp is really the only thing that’s odd. In the big picture, Dunhill was pretty consistent when it came to stamps. Sometimes, though, pipes slipped through with errors. Look at this ODA of mine that’s a Tanshell, yet it’s stamped Root Briar:
