Oh man, I wish you could smell it through the computer! It smells delicious.
You can actually smell the whole factory from across the street standing by the Mississippi River.

Kevin, I went to college in North Carolina. Being from the Midwest, I had never seen or smelled Tobacco. We had to report to school in August, Steamy, hot humid August in North Carolina. The tobacco fields were miles from the school but the smell was everywhere. So, I know what you mean when you say you can smell the factory from across the street.

I figured Mark would find an way to leverage his perique monopoly. He's a smart fella.
I hope his next step is to keep some for himself and create some new D&R pipe blends.
If he could develop and market the same quality tobaccos dedicated just to pipes instead of straddling MYO he'd have something. His flue cured VA Windsail Platinum is like no other. Throw in some Red VA with Windsail and his perique and I bet ya you'd be on the road to a fantastic VaPer.
And considering Mark's pricing has always been borderline unbelievable. He could find a big niche with the everyman pipe smoker.

We will most likely being covering it on the editorial side soon though.

Very good guess, but can't say if it's correct. I know Mac Baren wanted to buy more than the entire inventory last year, but obviously couldn't. This is one reason for the large capacity increase in the works with the new plant.

As to chewing tobacco, watch the video from the party.
At one part, when Mark is giving an award to one of the farmers, he quotes him as saying that as long as he is still chewing perique, he will keep growing perique, and he doesn't plan on quitting chewing it anytime soon.
