Zon, smoke it slow, cools down fast, very dry smoke, I only as of now smoke Nitecap in mine, they make cake fast, so do the dull knife and paper towel thing, they smoke like a Meer but sometimes you get a smokey taste. By the way that pipe is gorgeous. The old cajun

I was ready to light her up tonight and even try a Boswell English in it - Northwoods but I burned my tongue on some food. My lip is even blistered (long story but its painful) so I thought I should probably wait a few days.

Nice looking pipe, zonomo. I like the dark cumberland stem and the insert. The insert makes a nice contrast.
What is the insert made of? It looks like ivory.
From what I've heard, when Dunhill first started using cumberland stems, they were made of the same rubber compound used in bowling bowls and they were called brindle or bowling ball stems. Originally, Dunhill used the word "cumberland" to describe the finish on the pipe, but over time it also came to be used for just the stem material as well.

Davorin Morta pipes are coming to America.....I've been emailing with Davorin about getting one of his Morta pipes and he tells me that he will finally be selling through a distributor in the USA in 2014...can't wait to have better access to these great pipes

That is a nice piece!! I've spent quite a lot of time on his website studying his pipes. He does some really NICE stem and shank extensions. Really like the "golden" morta.
