I see Cornell and Diehl are releasing some more small batch Carolina Red Flake. As far as I was aware the last batch was the final one featuring that particular crop. So I'm guessing this is a knew different crop? Does anyone know if it's different?

Ah ok. I am sitting this years out. I have a ton of the previous years aging. The previous years utilizing L2DH-15 are 10.49%
No. It is limited production. I believe there is limited availability of high quality red Virginia leaf. It's likely there is some marketing hype to it as well. Why would they only sell 10,000 tins if they could sell 25,000? They're in the business to sell product and make money. They‘re really riding this small batch horse hard, aren’t they? If you can put out ten thousand tins every year, and source new tobacco every few years, isn't that just a regular blend?
If you like Red Virginia, you'd be well served to buy some. It's not like you couldn't sell it if you don't like it.As a big Red Virginia fan, this is a tough call for me...
I Wish there was a way to see if this was worth buying before the small-batch-crazed gremlins clear out the available inventory.
