So I'm super excited to finally be able to share some information about two new pipes I received from an American (indie) pipe carver named Chris McCartor. I got these two pipes back in December, but since I live in Wisconsin I haven't really had too many chances to smoke them yet (the record low for my area this year is -50), so I still consider them new ![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Anyways, I had contacted Chris via his facebook site/page - and him and I worked out a deal for a couple of pipes. These were my first custom ordered pipes, and I can't tell you how excited I was to get them. Overall I'm very impressed with the results - both pipes have a great feel to them, they look good (absolutely love the rustication on the dublin), and smoke really well - no gurgle, a nice cool smoke, etc. The bowls are huge - the full bent is at least an hour and a half smoke, and the dublin probably won't be far behind.
Anyways, I finally got around to uploading a few pics to the album under my profile here; I'm going to try to link them in this post. I took these pictures with my phone in a hurry the other day, so I apologize for the poor lighting and the quality of them. I absolutely love the rustication on the bent dublin, and the full bent has such a nice/solid feel to it. Not sure what it is, but there's something about getting hand-made pipes that make them feel so unique and different! Everyone is excited about any new pipes they might receive - and I love seeing and reading about those that some of you post about on a consistent basis - so I wanted to just shed a little bit of light on my new inventory![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
